Overview of Tablet Strip Packing Machine

The tablet strip packing machine is appropriate for the automatic aluminum-aluminum foil heat sealing packaging of tablets, sweets, and pills in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, chemical, and food industries, among others.

In addition to being suitable for plastic-to-plastic heat sealing packages, it meets the criteria for light-proof sealing. Functions such as vibrating material feeding, broken piece screening, counting, longitudinal and transverse impressing, cutting margin scrap, batch number printing, and more are all automatically completed. It uses a PLC (programmable logic controller), has a frequency converter, a user-friendly interface, and can adjust the cutting speed and travel range randomly. It offers precise feeding, tight sealing, complete functionality, consistent performance, and ease of use. It can improve product quality and extend product durability, making it perfect for the pharmaceutical industry.

The machine has passed evaluation as a Science and Technology Achievement in Zhejiang Province, has been approved by the National Medicine Inspection Bureau, and complies with GMP standards.

Tablet Strip Packing Machine Performance and Characteristics

1. The hopper feeding system adopts a vibration mechanism and photosensors to effectively remove powder or debris from pills as they fall into each lane.

2. The machine uses a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) to integrate functions such as tablet counting, vertical and horizontal embossing, slice cutting, edge trimming, and batch number printing into modules. Users can easily adjust values via the touchscreen. Most operations are automated, with minimal manual intervention needed for troubleshooting or minor adjustments during machine operation.

3. The diameter of the hot-pressing wheel can be adjusted within the range of 110-140mm, providing a wider choice for strip packing widths.

4. The cutting process employs an electronic detector and PLC, allowing users to easily increase or decrease the number of pills on the length side of the strip packing without changing the mold. This adjustment is made simply by setting the value on the touchscreen. An additional strip pack pulling device is installed to ensure smooth conveyance of the strip pack.

5. Our specially designed cutter offers clean and precise cutting, suitable for various materials, with a longer blade life and no need to change the blade when changing the mold.

6. The optional optical fiber detection device can effectively reject defective packing, achieving a success rate of 99%.

Vibrator: It conveys the products through supply tablets to the Chute.

Chute: It grips various pieces and centre them so that they can enter in to the sealing Roller.

Sealing Roller: The Sealing Roller temperature can be effectively maintained because of the precise temperature control device.

Slitting: it is easy to adjust the column number and location of the slitting.

Draw Brushes: Tense the strip and ensure that the Sealing and Cutting is precise.

Cutter: The row number of cutting can be adjusted as per the need.

What are the Main Components of Tablet Packing Machines?

Feeding Unit

A feeding unit holds two type of material first of all the material that is going to be used for packing is selected like aluminum foil or polyvinyl paper or some other stuff.

On the other hand the product that is going to be packed is hold inside the container that is present on the upper side of the feeding unit. This container holds the material like tablets, capsules and other stuff.

You can provide the feeding material to the feeding unit by yourself or it can get the feeding material automatically depending upon the automation level of the tablet packing machine.

Driving Component

This component of the machine helps to move the packing material from one part to another like from feeding unit to the productive part.

In this part the driving unit contains rollers in opposite sides of each other to move the material for packing purpose.

Foil/Plastic material Holder

This component of the tablet packing machine is used for holding and rolling the packing material towards the other productive parts.

Product Cutter

This cutter is used for cutting the sealed product towards the packing unit for further processing. Whenever tablets are sealed or packed the cutting unit cut them into a specific amount of tablets making a tray type production.

Batch Printer or Simple Printer

Printer in the tablet packing machine does the printing stuff to print the products batch number on the back of the foil paper.

Ink present in the small size pins makes contact with the paper for printing purpose to mention about product and its manufacturing date etc.

Control System

According to the automation level of tablet packing machine this component comes in PLC system or as a simple electric box type to control the working of the machine.

It is essential for operating the machine according to the product type.

Sealing Heater

Sealing is done with amount of heat along with pressure applied on the tablets pack to make the product leakage proof and air tighten.

Sealing heater make the packing of the product more secure between two packing materials.

Waste Collector/Assembly

During the packing of the product some of the product get wasted or failed to get packed so, for this purpose collector is used in the tablet packing machine from saving the wastage of product.

Sliding Chute

When the products get packed then they are move towards this part called sliding chute which makes the product move forward towards the collecting tray.

This component of the tablet packing machine helps the machine to make the packing production fast.

Product Counter

When the product is sealed then counter unit perfectly count the number of products that are packed before the tablets send towards the box packing.
